Chiang rai walking street sets up every Saturday since November 1st 2008 on Thanalai Road. It opens 4 pm to midnight. The street is closed to traffic and stall line the sidewalks.The market has 3 zones. Zone 1: known as OTOP (One Tambon One-Product) which encourages each district (Tambon) to produce its own local specialities. Shops are from royal project and product from hill tribe groups in Chiang rai. Zone 2: You can see handmade products from youth and local people, spa activities and also places offering Thai massages. The last zone is the exhibition area. You can also enjoy a cheap meal or various northern foods. Some street shows and traditional singing or dancing can be seen
